Artist Bio

ANDREW HARPER is a sound designer for theater and opera. Previously, for Houston Broadway Theatre: Next To Normal. He is the longtime designer for Houston's Theatre Under the Stars, having amplified dozens of musicals with them since 2013, most recently In the Heights and Disney’s Frozen. Additionally, he has designed for Houston Grand Opera (including five world premieres and most recently West Side Story), Washington National Opera/Kennedy Center, Glimmerglass “on the grass” Festival, New York City Opera, Atlanta Opera, Lyric Opera Kansas City, Performing Arts Houston, and Houston Ballet, among others. Upcoming productions include Spelling Bee with TUTS, West Side Story with LA Opera, Porgy and Bess with Houston Grand Opera, Guys and Dolls with Shakespeare Theatre/DC, and West Side Story with Washington National Opera.
